Who
we are
St. Albert the Great Catholic Church is a Christian community that works to
be a community of faith, a parish family and a caring people.
We try to provide a place where people can find meaningful opportunities
- both communal and individual - to grow in mature spirituality through all
stages of their lives. Our parish encourages broad participation in its
ministry and decision-making.
Regardless of your age, sex, marital status, income level, physical
abilities, racial makeup, sexual orientation, political persuasion or
religious background, we want you to feel welcome here.
Some facts you might want to know:
- St. Albert's pastor belongs to the Dominican order
- like all of the
church's pastors throughout its history. (The rectory adjoining the church to
the north is home to many of the region's Dominican priests.)
- St. Albert's is part of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of St. Paul and
Minneapolis.
- About 600 households are registered as members, the vast majority from
Minneapolis' Greater Longfellow Community, where the church buildings are
located.
- ACCESSIBILITY: Elevators and ramps provide access to all parts of the
church building for people who use wheelchairs, walkers and similar aids.
