- Rosary Altar & Holy Name Societies:
The Rosary Altar Society is open to all women of the parish; the Holy Name Society to all the parish's men.
The Rosary Altar Society serves St. Albert's community by raising funds through regular doughnut sales, holiday cookie sales and boutiques, and other means. It provides financial support for parish liturgical supplies and special needs. Through raffles and food drives, the Society also supports the Antone Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home.
The Holy Name Society assists the Rosary Altar Society with
many of its events and also sponsors an annual
bowling tournament, which raises funds for
youth groups.
- Funeral Lunches:
Volunteers ease the pain of those grieving the
loss of a loved one by bringing salads or
desserts and helping prepare and serve lunch
after funerals at St. Albert's. To help,
please contact Betty Edlund through the Parish Center.
- BeFrienders:
The parish trains and commissions lay ministers to reach out to individuals whose illness, frailty or other circumstances greatly restrict their interaction with others in their community.
For more information on this valuable service,
contact BeFriender coordinator Barbara Roban
at the Parish Center.
- Festivals and dinners: The parish's mid-autumn Roast Beef Dinner and Festival and its fish dinners on the six Friday evenings
of Lent provide numerous opportunities to help out with food or dining room preparation, food-line service, assisting diners, cleanup, game operations, various sales booths and other activities -- and have an enjoyable time while doing it. Check
Upcoming Events for the next scheduled event, and how to volunteer to help.
- Sewing for the Cancer
